Paapori Harsh combines Indian musical traditions, mindfulness and community initiatives through The Music Village India and her upcoming Gurugram concert
GURUGRAM: Paapori Harsh, a vocalist and performing artist based in Bengaluru, is building a creative practice around music, mindfulness and self-discovery. Her work combines Indian musical traditions with personal storytelling and initiatives focused on emotional well-being.
Before turning to music full-time, Paapori spent nearly 15 years in the National Capital Region working in senior HR leadership, consulting, management training and academia. That experience continues to influence her understanding of people, emotions and personal development.
Today, she works as a conscious music activist and certified Music and Wellness Happiness Coach, using music to encourage reflection and meaningful connections.
Classical Training Meets Contemporary Musical Styles
Paapori holds a Sangeet Visharad qualification and trained under Vidushi Padmaja Chakraborty, a disciple of Vidushi Girija Devi.
Her repertoire covers Sufi, folk, ghazal, Bollywood, Hindustani classical and Indian fusion. She has also earned certification in Music and Wellness from Berklee College of Music in Boston and Happiness Coaching from Berkeley College in California.
Her approach centres on the idea that music can offer a space to explore emotions, reflect on personal experiences and connect with others.
“For me, music is not just performance; it is a way to connect, heal, question and return to the self,” she says.
The Music Village India Builds a Community Around Music
Paapori founded The Music Village India to bring music, mindfulness and emotional well-being into a shared community space.
The platform runs wellness sessions and immersive retreats. It also operates the TMV Hope Squad initiative, which works to support the mental well-being of underserved young people in Bengaluru.
These efforts extend Paapori’s work beyond live performances and reflect her interest in using music as a tool for community engagement and personal exploration.
The Jugni Story Takes Her Vision to the Stage
Paapori will present The Jugni Story – The Paapori Harsh Project Live at Epicentre, Gurugram, on October 24, 2026.
The performance will blend Bollywood, Sufi and fusion music with personal narratives and spoken reflections. It will explore memory, resilience, identity and self-discovery through the free-spirited essence of Jugni.
The concert forms part of her 2026 tour. Toyota powers the event, with Kognaz, konverz.ai, STRAT-BOARD, Urban Ayush, The Music Village and Teen Keedey providing support.
Through her music, live performances and community initiatives, Paapori Harsh continues to bring artistic expression and mindfulness into conversation, inviting audiences to look beyond entertainment and consider music’s role in everyday life.
