Romantic Drama Saiyaara Gears Up for Big Opening with Over 28,000 Tickets Sold in Advance

Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, Mohit Suri’s YRF-backed film shows strong pre-release buzz and high recovery through music and satellite rights.

New Delhi: 16 July 2025

Saiyaara, Mohit Suri’s latest romantic drama, is positioned to make an exceptional box office debut ahead of its July 18 release, with a staggering 28,318 advance tickets reserved through Indian multiplexes. Produced by Yash Raj Films, and with debuts Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as the leads, the film’s day one advance booking gross is estimated to yield ₹85.75 lakh, suggesting healthy advance figure.

The excitement around Saiyaara is not just focused on ticket sales. According to industry insiders, the film has already recouped 75% of its budget from pre-release revenues (with significant revenues from music, satellite and digital rights). According to trade analysts, once international box office collections cross the ₹37–40 crore threshold, filmmakers will more than recover their remaining production costs.

A large part of the excitement around the film is due to its chart-topping soundtrack, which includes the songs “Saiyaara” and “Barbaad”. Sung by well-known voices including Arijit Singh and Jubin Nautiyal, it is the soulful music that has created an emotional heartbeat for audiences.

The trailer showcasing the love story following an aspiring singer (Panday), and a music composer (Padda) has gone viral across social media platforms as fans moderate the fresh pairing, good looks, and emotional feel. With the directorial strength of Mohit Suri known for romantic hits like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, as well as backed by the production prowess of Yash Raj Films (YRF), Saiyaara has plenty to live up to and plenty of box office potential.

With advance bookings still climbing and positive responses from early screenings, Saiyaara is being closely watched as a potential mid-summer blockbuster especially in a market hungry for successful star launches and emotionally resonant cinema. If early trends hold, the film could dominate the box office in the weeks ahead.
