Fire at Judge’s Home Exposes ₹1,000+ Crore Cash Stash: Dr. K.A. Paul Demands Arrest, CBI Probe

Renowned Activist Alleges Cover-Up, Calls for Judicial Reforms
New Delhi, March 21, 2025 – A massive corruption scandal has rocked India’s judiciary after authorities allegedly discovered over ₹1,000 crore in cash at the residence of Delhi High Court Justice Yashwant Verma. Global peace activist Dr. K.A. Paul has demanded the judge’s immediate arrest and called for a high-level probe by the CBI and ED.
According to Dr. Paul, the shocking revelation came to light during a fire at Justice Verma’s home, where officials stumbled upon stacks of unaccounted cash. However, instead of launching an investigation, authorities allegedly relocated the cash, transferred the judge to Allahabad High Court, and attempted to suppress the matter.
Dr. K.A. Paul’s Key Demands
. Immediate arrest and interrogation of Justice Verma.
. A transparent probe by the CBI, ED, and a panel of retired judges.
. End of judicial immunity for corrupt judges under Article 14 of the Constitution.
. Unbiased media reporting to prevent the case from being buried.
. Greater judicial accountability to safeguard democracy.
Dr. Paul Questions Silence of Top Officials
Expressing outrage over the alleged cover-up, Dr. Paul slammed the Law Minister and Chief Justice of India for their inaction.
“Why is there no CBI or ED investigation? Why has the Law Minister remained silent? Why has the Chief Justice not intervened? This level of corruption is unacceptable and is tarnishing India’s judiciary on the global stage,” he stated.
Dr. Paul warned that unchecked judicial corruption is eroding public trust and turning India’s legal system into an international embarrassment. He called on citizens and media to take a stand, asserting that freedom of the press under Article 19 must be used to expose such scandals.
“This isn’t just about one judge. It’s about protecting India’s judiciary and democracy,” he said, urging immediate action before further damage is done.
