Sri Lanka to Showcase Beach, Wildlife and Wellness Holidays in Kerala

Sri Lanka Tourism will showcase beach breaks, wildlife, heritage and wellness holidays at its final Kerala roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram on October 30

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Sri Lanka Tourism will showcase its range of holiday experiences to Kerala’s travel industry at a networking event in Thiruvananthapuram on October 30, 2026. The roadshow aims to help travel professionals learn more about the island’s attractions and identify suitable holiday options for their customers.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), in association with the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in Chennai, will organise the Sri Lanka Tourism B2B Roadshow & Networking Evening – Kerala Series 2026 at Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum.

More than 20 Sri Lankan tourism companies are expected to attend, representing accommodation providers, destination management companies, attractions and other tourism services.

From Coastal Breaks to Heritage Travel

Sri Lanka offers a mix of experiences for travellers with different interests. Its tropical coastlines appeal to beach holidaymakers, while ancient heritage sites attract visitors interested in history and culture.

Travellers can also explore wildlife experiences, tea-covered hills, wellness retreats and premium hospitality. These options allow travel agents to develop itineraries for short breaks, longer holidays and different travel budgets.

The Thiruvananthapuram roadshow will give participating companies a chance to present these experiences directly to local travel agents and tour operators.

Holiday Options for Families, Couples and Business Travellers

The event will highlight several travel segments, including family holidays, luxury stays, wellness trips and destination weddings. Organisers also plan to promote MICE travel, which covers meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.

Business-to-business meetings will help tourism providers discuss their products with travel professionals who advise customers and design holiday packages. Destination presentations and media engagement will provide additional opportunities to introduce Sri Lanka’s tourism offerings.

The programme will also include cultural performances, a networking dinner, lucky draws and promotional giveaways.

Indian Travellers Remain Important to Sri Lanka

India continues to be a major market for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry. The figures provided for the event show that Sri Lanka received 531,511 visitors from India in 2025, accounting for approximately 22.5% of its 2,362,521 international tourist arrivals.

By October 22, 2026, the country had recorded 482,944 Indian visitors, or 26.6% of international arrivals for the period, according to the supplied figures.

The roadshow aims to build on this interest by strengthening connections with Kerala’s travel trade and helping businesses present relevant holiday options to prospective travellers.

Kerala Series Concludes in Thiruvananthapuram

The October 30 event will conclude Sri Lanka Tourism’s three-city Kerala roadshow series. The earlier events took place in Kozhikode on October 26 and Kochi on October 28.

The initiative aims to improve awareness of Sri Lanka as a holiday destination and create stronger business links between tourism providers and Kerala’s travel industry.

The closing event will take place at Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum, bringing Sri Lankan tourism businesses and local industry professionals together for presentations, meetings and networking.
