State Records Best Performance in 15 Years; Government Schools Outshine Private Institutions
New Delhi: The results for Class 10 (high school) and Class 12 (higher secondary) exams for the current academic year have been declared by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE). This year’s results show a huge academic jump, with girls being top scorers in both exams.
As per the official statistics unveiled, the general pass percentage in Class 12 was 74.48%, and Class 10 achieved a passing rate of 76.22%. The two rates signify an improvement when compared to last year, and the state received its highest-ever board exam marks over the last 15 years.
The results were announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in front of School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh. During his speech, the CM stressed the steady improvement in the education sector of the state and highlighted the outstanding performance of students from government schools, which outshone that of private schools this year.
Among the best performers, Priyam Dwivedi from Satna district topped the Higher Secondary exam with 492 out of 500 marks. The merit list included 159 students, 89 girls and 70 boys, highlighting the increasing academic empowerment of young women in the state.
In the high school exam, Pragya Jaiswal, a student from Singrauli district, scored a very rare 500 out of 500. Among 212 students who were listed on the merit list, a huge majority of 144 were girls, and 68 were boys. These figures support the growing predominance of girl students at all academic levels in Madhya Pradesh.
Congratulations to the winning students, particularly the girls. Chief Minister Yadav recognized the role of state welfare programs such as ‘Ladli Laxmi’ and ‘Ladli Behna.’ Such efforts have tremendously helped enhance the access of girls to education and encourage them to perform well, he said.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the worries of students who failed to clear the exams, assuring them that the state government is coming up with special arrangements to aid their academic development and enable them to pass in subsequent attempts.
CM Yadav also expressed his gratitude to education officials and district administrators of Narsinghpur, Neemuch, and Mandla for their outstanding work in recording exceptional results.
2025 MP Board results not only show academic achievement but also mirror the good effects of directed government policies towards educational empowerment and equity.
