ASSC Chairman recalls his long association with D.K. Shivakumar and wishes him success in his new role
New Delhi:Expressing his best wishes, Dr. Bhargav Mallappa, Chairman of the Akhila Sevak Samaj Council (ASSC), congratulated senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar on assuming office as Karnataka’s Chief Minister.
The swearing-in ceremony, held in Bengaluru on Wednesday, marked a significant political moment in Karnataka as D.K. Shivakumar formally assumed office as the state’s Chief Minister. Alongside him, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara and members of the new Council of Ministers were also sworn in, ushering in a new phase of governance for the state.
Congratulating the newly sworn-in Chief Minister, Dr. Mallappa said his association with Shri D.K. Shivakumar spans several years and goes beyond politics. Describing him as an elder brother figure, he said he has personally witnessed Shivakumar’s unwavering commitment to public service, his close connect with grassroots workers, and his dedication to the welfare of the people of Karnataka.
“Shri D.K. Shivakumar Sir is not only one of Karnataka’s most respected political leaders but also someone whom I regard as an elder brother. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to closely observe his leadership, his tireless work ethic, and his commitment to serving the people. His elevation to the office of Chief Minister is the result of decades of hard work, perseverance, and dedication to public life. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to him on this significant milestone,” said Dr. Mallappa.
Dr. Mallappa also congratulated Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara and the newly inducted ministers, expressing hope that the new administration would work collectively to address the aspirations of citizens across all regions of Karnataka.
Recalling his own involvement in grassroots development initiatives across the state, Dr. Mallappa emphasized the importance of prioritizing rural development, farmer welfare, youth empowerment, quality education, healthcare accessibility, employment generation, and social inclusion. He noted that Karnataka has made significant strides in various sectors and expressed confidence that the new leadership would build upon these achievements.
“Karnataka has immense potential and i am confident that under Shri D.K. Shivakumar’s leadership, the state will continue to advance on the path of inclusive development, social welfare, farmer empowerment, youth opportunities, quality education, and accessible healthcare. I wish him and his team every success as they begin this new chapter of public service,” Dr. Mallappa added.
Dr. Mallappa further noted that the composition of the new government reflects an effort to balance experience and emerging leadership, which would contribute to stable governance and effective policymaking in the years ahead.
