Bihar Targets UAE Investment with New Food Processing Park MoU

Dubai: Bihar is stepping up its global investment outreach with a new partnership focused on food processing and agri-business. The Industries Department, Government of Bihar, exchanged an MoU with AIM Global Foundation during the AIM Congress 2026 in Dubai to facilitate the development of a dedicated Food Processing Park in Bihar.

The agreement seeks to bring investors from the UAE and the Gulf region into Bihar’s food processing sector and develop an integrated agri-food cluster. The proposed park will build on Bihar’s agricultural strengths and aim to make the state an important sourcing and processing base for Gulf food supply chains.

Bihar Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh attended the MoU exchange. Industries Department Secretary Kundan Kumar and H.E. Dawood Al-Shezawi, President of AIM Global Foundation, formally signed the agreement, while Director, Industries, Mukul Kumar Gupta, was also present.

Shreyasi Singh said the partnership could strengthen Bihar’s position as an investment destination and provide farmers and food processing businesses with greater access to international markets.

Kundan Kumar said the MoU establishes a framework for Bihar to engage with UAE investors and identify practical investment opportunities in the food processing sector. He said the department will take the partnership forward ahead of Rising Bihar 2026.

The MoU exchange at the AIM Congress 2026 underlines Bihar’s efforts to attract global investment, strengthen food processing infrastructure and expand its agri-food ecosystem.
